Our facebook

Although this will be the main site that we will be using whilst we are on our trip, we do also have a facebook page. To find our facebook page just type in: Jade and Becks walk John O'Groats to Lands End and 'like' to show your support! :)

Money making

We mentioned earlier that we are working hard to raise money to fund our trip. So far we are doing well but we need to keep it up as this trip is going to be expensive even though we will be camping and wild camping most of the way.

If anyone has any good money making ideas or knows of any companies etc that may sponsor us, please let us know!

So far we have done: cake sales, my Nan has been brilliant and held a coffee morning in her house, we have been selling chalk bags that we make ourselves, selling stuff on ebay, helping people clean/ move house and also Keir Western has sponsored us some money which was excellent!!

Heres some pictures of our hand made chalk bags:

Training

We went up to the Peaks with our friends Kat and Rich a few weekends ago and spent a day out walking which was lovely and also a good start to our training. Jade also went off to Wales this weekend just gone and while i was working hard writing essays she was having fun climbing up Tryfan:

In about 3 weeks time we are also going on a "journey" for our uni course. Me Jade and 4 friends will be out for 5 days walking a section of the Offas Dyke. This should be good training!!

What are we doing?

Hello! Thanks for visiting our blog! :)

Many of you know that me and Jade have decided it would be a fun challenge to walk John O'Groats to Lands End.We also felt it would be a brilliant opportunity to raise lots of money for a brilliant charity, the Children's Hospice South West.

Flights are booked and we will be flying to Scotland on June 13th and starting walking on the 15th. We are currently really busy trying to raise the funds needed to complete the walk and plan the route, as well as do occasional uni work :). As soon as the route is planned we will post it so all you lovely people can see where we will be throughout the summer.

The plan is that we will use this blog (rather then the facebook page) as like a diary throughout our trip. As often as we can we will try to find somewhere where we can access the internet to upload pictures and tell you about where we are, how we are feeling, how bad we smell, the funny moments and the arguments!....when this is not possible though im sure we will get friends and family back home to post updates.

If anyone wants to join us for a day or whatever this would be lovely, will be nice to see some friendly faces!!

If you would like to sponsor us we have sponsorship forms that we are going to start carrying around with us or you can sponsor us online by following this link:
